Raelians & Cloning: John Walsh Show 2003

Clonaid Vice-president, Thomas Kaenzig, Raelian Priest, Marie Helene-Parent (now ex-Raelian) and EXrael Eric Lamarche came on the John Walsh talk show (January 2003).

Following the negative backlash and a legal request for the temporary guardianship of human clone baby "Eve" by a Florida lawyer, Bernard Siegel, the VP of Clonaid, Thomas Kaenzig misinforms the public about the history of IVF and why Clonaid was not forthcoming with proof of Eve's birth.

No one condemned the birth of Louise Brown, even the Pope sent his blessings. Her name was headline news and her identity did NOT have to be kept secret.

Kaenzig's real title should be SD (Spin Doctor)

But, in Rael's 2001 book, Yes to Human Cloning, he writes: "If all goes well, by the end of the year 2001, or early 2002 at the latest, all the TV screens in the world will be showing a happy family with an exceptionally beautiful smiling baby, the first cloned human baby [referring not of "Eve", but the clone of their 1st investor, Mark Hunt's son... the Hunts pulled out of Clonaid when they discovered nothing was being done that the "lab" in Nitro in August 2001.]. World public opinion will immediately turn in its favor, just as was the case with Louise Brown, the first test-tube baby, who banished the ghosts of the Frankenstein monster everyone was so afraid of. [..] Nothing can resist a child’s smile, especially this particular one." (p. 92)

We now know where the origin of Kaenzig's disinfo comes from.
